Download ExpertControls from our site and install them. During installation there
will be created "Program Files\ASP.NET Expert Group\ExpertControls 3.X\" folder
where all available documentation will be installed. Shortcuts to documentation and demo examples
will be created in Windows Programs Menu.

ExpertControls installator automatically adds all controls to the toolbox.
To manually add them follow these steps:
- Open an ASPX page in design mode.
- Right-click on the toolbox and select Customize Toolbox from the menu.
- Select the .NET Framework Components tab and click Browse...
- Find ASPNETExpert.WebControls.dll and select Open.
From now on Visual Studio .NET will automatically add ASPNETExpert.WebControls.dll assembly
to your web application's bin directory when you add an Expert control to your aspx pages.

ExpertControls are available in a single binary for both
free trial and production uses. The default free trial
behavior is to render a demo warning item at random intervals.
Production behavior is enabled when the license file is
located in the application's \bin directory together with
ASPNETExpert.WebControls.dll (or the license file is located
in the GAC folder in case ExpertControls assembly is installed into the
global assembly cache).
The license file contains licenses for the products you purchased
(ExpertMenu, ExpertTree or both).
|
 |
 |
Put it into the \bin directory of your web application if you use non-GACed
ExpertControls assembly.
If you installed ExpertControls assembly into the Global Assembly Cache (GAC), you need to copy the license file into
ExpertControls GAC folder. Since GAC folder is a special folder, Windows Explorer doesn't allow navigation to it.
In this situation you can use third-party utility to copy the license file into the GACed folder.

 |
 |
All controls come in the single assembly ASPNETExpert.WebControls.dll.
The license file for it is named ASPNETExpert.WebControls.dll.lic. The license file
contains the license for one or more products from ExpertControls suite. If you purchased one of the controls
and got the license file for it and now purchase another, you will receive another file
ASPNETExpert.WebControls.dll.lic that will contain the license for the newly purchased product.
But there should be only one license file that contains merged licenses.
Please send us your license files and we will merge them for you.
